Strident cars and car passangers in Dubai

Exorbitant luxury is an obsession for the residents of many states in the Persian Gulf. Dubai is probably home to the largest concentration of incredibly wealthy people. Their lifestyle is sometimes extremely harsh. (see ATM dispensing gold bars).

However, of all luxury items, cars are the one where imagination seems to have no limits.

The website Doctoreport has published the article Dubai Things That Make Us Believe They’re Living In A Different Time, a long list with amazing facts and images. In the large collection of strange things, the cars and other vehicles appear and appear again, in unimaginable situations.

- there are luxury ambulances, which are actually limousines used by emergency crews

- the police have luxury sport cars - Lamborghini - and bulletproof SUVs from W Motors

- but there are also limousines for public transport. The ticket for this service is surprisingly affordable, almost cheap: 1.6 USD

Obviously, Uber drivers use Bugatti and other superclass cars.

Cars and motorcycles from gold are quite common, and the big competition between collectors is who has more. 

Another type of luxury cars - the sport cars - are so common in Dubai that the traffic jams caused by them no longer surprise anyone.

Returning to the way cars are used, not only public transport and ambulances attract attention. In cars, on the front seats, until recently you could see exotic animals such as cheetahs and other ferocious predators. Also, there are luxury vehicles for transporting animals that are usually raised in the Gulf: camels and horses. All these can be quite frequently seen in particularly luxurious transport vehicles.

In their turn, the cars benefit from a fascination on the part of the locals. Many have been adapted to be able to go on water. If you don't have such a car and you're stuck in a traffic jam and you're late for work, there is a helicopter service that transports you from place to place: but not only you, also your car. Seems to be a spectacular military operation, but there is just a man who is late to job or to date.
