Weight management is an important aspect of electric vehicle design and it was realized that DMC could shave 200 pounds off their retro-futuristic product by replacing the old-school fiberglass material that makes up the main part of the chassis with a modern lightweight resin-infused composite. In early May, President Obama declared that no additional deepwater drilling efforts would commence until measures were in place to prevent this type of disaster.
